ANA ALLIANCE FOR FAMILY ENTERTAINMENT

The ANA Alliance for Family Entertainment (AFE) is a group of national advertisers, supported by the Association of National Advertisers (ANA), whose combined ad spend represents 37% of all U.S. television advertising dollars.

The group's mission is to find, nurture, develop, and support high-quality content the entire family can enjoy on multiple distribution platforms. The strength of its collective resources allows the group to positively impact family entertainment choices. Since the group began more than a decade ago, the AFE has helped bring to air more than 20 primetime hit programs.

AFE 2013 CONTENT GUIDELINES

The AFE supports quality scripted and reality programming that is viewing-appropriate for children 8 and older. Supported programming portrays modern families dealing with the complex issues that impact their lives in today's society. When programming includes conflicts between characters, it embodies positive resolution to those conflicts, and, when appropriate, provides viewers with teachable moments on how to navigate difficult situations.

Outside the scope of the 2013 contest, the AFE does not accept unsolicited materials.

The AFE has joined forces with James Lassiter and Will Smith of Overbrook Entertainment to find the most talented undiscovered TV scriptwriters in the country.

Overbrook Entertainment's vision, together with the AFE, is to produce and support quality family entertainment.
